Accounting and management control are undergoing change as swiftly and as profoundly as finance. Organisational and strategic issues linked to business models are new topics in accounting that must be addressed and companies are making radical changes to their accounting and performance steering systems. The MSc in Accounting and Control is designed to provide students with knowledge of both operational and strategic accounting and control. The programme responds to today's need for financial controllers capable of managing reporting procedures and implementing innovative financial and management accounting solutions. It also develops additional skills such as communication, strategy, project management and human capital management. The core modules are based on an EDHEC survey of financial directors and controllers on the skills required of the current and future holders of these positions. Close ties with professional associations are a guarantee that the programme contents respond to strategic corporate needs. The ultimate goal is to provide students with the financial and accounting background to support CFOs, CEOs, or other departments involved in decision-making.
